When I send files using Microsoft Outlook I get a "Time Out" error - and my receipients are receving that email multiple times! |

Because certain Large file(s)/Attachement cannot send out in the time specified in the outlook setting.
ie: The standard time set in Microsoft Outlook "Server Timeouts" is 1 minute
So if you are going to send BIG files then u should change the Microsoft Outlook setting from the standard "Server Timeouts" from 1 minute to a higher count.
All you need to do is increase the "Server Time Out" limit bar to 3min, 5min, or 10min...
Follow these steps for Microsoft Outlook 2003:
1) Open Microsoft Outlook2) Go to Tools> Email Accounts> Select "View or change existing email accounts"3) Select each email account> Click "Change"> Select "More Settings"4) Select "Advanced"> Now increase the "Server Timeout" bar to 3minutes> Just hold the bar with your mouse and drag it to the righ to increase
5) Click "Ok"> and click "Ok" again to get out of that screen
Now test by sending that large file(s)/attachement and see if it send out without any error messages.
Note: Test it by increasing the "time out" limit bar to 3min, 5min, or 10min...
Example: Set it for 3 minutes first then try to send email with attachement, if that fails try 5 minutes and send email...and so on...
Note: You should always put the "Server Timeout" limit back to 1 minutes, but its not mandatory. You can always leave it at the new limit also, its upto you, but keep in mind that it will take a longer time to check the emails, ie: The "Send/Receive" will take a longer.
